In Memory of Mike Regina: 8/3/1966 - 1/6/05

Michael A. Regina is a co-worker of mine who passed away shortly after the new year. Even on New Years he sent me a text message to my cell phone wishing me a happy new year, and hopes that my future proposal to my girlfriend would go well. For the last year, he’s been telling me the “proper” American formalities with proposals for marriage, since I’m the first born Korean-American in my family. Basically, I wanted to do everything right, and in this way, he was not only a friend and a co-worker, but was much like an older brother, or even like a 2nd father in some sense. We even talked about going on fishing trips on his boat sometime in the coming summer. He will be greatly missed. This one’s for you Mike. I’ll never forget you bro!

Ric sent me the link to your website. Thank you for adding such a beautiful tribute to Mike. I miss him so much. I’m glad you were able to become friends. Michael was always there for everyone. He was very generous with his time and heart. Thank you for not forgetting him.

Eddie, my name is Michele Petrone. I am one of Michael’s older sisters. I just wanted to thank you for remembering my brother in such a special way. It is so wonderful for my family to see such an outpouring of love and friendship for him. He was so quiet at times that we didn’t realize that he had touched so many hearts. He is truly missed by all of us. Thank you, again. Michele
