Most hamsters live only 18 months. Our beloved highly personable Dot died today after living a ripe old age of over 2 years. She died this morning. She wasn’t doing too good for the last few days, and on Thursday had the shakes and overnight passed away. She was refusing food, water, and even cheese! Wet tail set in, very quickly. She’ll be missed. For her 2+ years alive she lived a very spoiled life, gourmet hamster food that was the most expensive and full of treats, many houses to live in, cage upgrades twice, uber large hamster wheel, trips in my shirt pocket, lots of playtime, and things like that.
