I just got my coveted Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens. I’ve been wanting this lens ever since I went to the Westminster Dog Show in February. Early birthday present for myself, as well as gives me time to practice with it before the honeymoon.

I posted my review on AccessPhoto.com comparing this lens to my EF 50mm f/1.4 USM prime lens. The sample pictures I posted of the results speak for themselves. The 24-105 f/4L IS is not as sharp as the 50 prime @ f4 or f8, but it’s pretty damn close. Enough to warrant me just to bring this lens as my only lens for my honeymoon in June so that I can travel light. I should get insurance on this carrying around expensive L glass.
