My Wedding Page

April 30th, 2006

My wedding is approaching fast. Unfortunately, we can’t invite everyone that we’d like to (yes, we even had to cut relatives out from the wedding), but we can still celebrate other ways (dinner anyone?)… I created our wedding site a few months back but forgot to put it up. Anyways take a look at our site HERE. Yeah it’s all pink (her idea), but I put the site together. As for why the details are passworded, it’s to prevent wedding crashers (sorry). But feel free to buy something from the registry. :)

Also, if you’re looking for an officiant, minister, priest, or a person that is ordained for weddings for the Metro New York City (NYC) area, check out Rev. Thomas Lawrence. He’s the one doing our wedding, and he’s also certified. For those who are budget conscious, he can accomidate according as well as plan the ceremony very nicely.

New York International Auto Show 2006

April 16th, 2006

4/14-16: New York International Auto Show

This Friday through the weekend was the NY International Auto Show (NYIAS). So I went to the auto show, but unforunately was really crammed for time, so only could do and hour and 1/2 there. All shots taken with my 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. Lens was remarkably versatile, esp in the downstairs area that wasn’t as well lit. The only problem I did encounter was some of those revolving platforms move too fast (ie: the new EVO) so getting a crisp pic in somewhat not so bright ambient light didn’t help. Should’ve brought my external flash. (didn’t want to use the popup since I hate the hotspot it creates)

Pics HERE

A few things from the show:
- Mistu Evo concept is badass
- 2007 will finally have the super AWD which includes the Super Active Yaw Control (SAYC) that was ripped away in the current Evo from the JDM
- the new STi has the Spec-B as a full time trim (no more limited) and has a trunk pass thru (although rear seats still don’t fold down, but this is definitely a plus)
- Return of the S8 to the US Market as a V10!!!
- RS4 finally on US Shores, and is one badass buddy
- Mistu’s tiny orange hybrid looks badass (for a tiny car)
- Kia’s rice patrol car with 4 recaros (yes in the backseats)
- Kia’s wanna-be bently-benz
- LMAO for a good 15 minutes when I saw those two
- No GTR 2007/8 at the show

Chai Died…

April 9th, 2006
chaicomeout

Got word just now from Andrew that the hamster son of Dot, Chai has passed away early this morning. Awww. :( He too lived a good spoiled rotten hamster life. :) Andrew took good care of him and spoiled him with lots of toys, playtime and treats. Chai will be missed.

My birthday passed on March 23rd, this time without much fanfare. I don’t think it’ll be a big deal again until I hit 30, 40, and 50. LOL Caroline took me to the Blue Water Grill at Union Square. She told them it was for my birthday so they sat me downstairs right smack in front of the jazz band. Sweeeet! Great food! Highly recommended!
