Version 8 Up!

May 21st, 2006

How you like the new look? Spent a good portion of Friday night and Saturday overhauling everything, from the blog engine, gallery engine, and the embedded modules. Runs faster and is a lot more slick. Also finally implemented a few comment spam filters as the notify-by-email to moderate their comments was clogging my email box. Now they just never get posted. LOL. How you like the site? I still have to overhaul my photography site and make a montage graphic to replace the above one. But for the most part this is now 99% done. :)

NY Culinary Festival 2006

May 16th, 2006

I got this email. Sounds like fun. Too bad I have gajillion things to do for my wedding. But info is here if you’re interested.

The New York Culinary Festival is May 19, 20, and 21. It is at Pier 94. It features 75 dishes from top NY chefs and restaurants, and 5 stages of live entertainment, including awards to Nina and Tim Zagat (Fri nite) and to the Food Network (Sat nite), and live performances by Berlin (Fri), the Spin Doctors (Sat) and a Sunday Jazz lineup. The menu is outstanding and not only reflects the artistry of NYC cuisine, but its diversity – with the best in South American, Korean, New Asian, Southern Italian and other increasingly popular cuisine. Tickets are available online and the $20 admission includes all concerts, awards, chef demos, lectures, seminars, wine tastings, access to all exhibits and even stuff for kids. The food and beverage is reasonably priced between $2 and $6 per serving and you decide what you want to taste, and you pay as you go. For tix and all the info, please visit the website at www.nyculinaryfestival.com. It will be updated continually until the show. See you there!

NYU-Stern ’01, 5 Year Reunion

May 13th, 2006

May 11th was NYU’s graduation, and at the same time they also held our 5-year reunion for the Stern class of 2001. It was good seeing everyone again. I wished more people showed up though! Anyways, met up with the old 3rd North Trio again (Shari & Alina, + me). Both are married, and I’ll be joining them in a few weeks as my wedding approaches at light speed. :) Man seems like yesterday that we were goofing off in the dorms. Time flies fast. I get sad realizing how fast time moves now. I guess I just wish I could live these years forever. LOL

Anyways… Pic of back then:
